  My background is in forestry, particularly tree improvement and silvicultural research.

I provide Instructional Support at ESF, specifically for:

Other current: mom; facilitator, Project Learning Tree and Growing Up WILD; Certified Forester; member, Society of American Foresters, Forest Guild, and Association for Practical and Professional Ethics; VP of Youth and Education, and Chair, Youth Committee, Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevra Shas; board member and secretary, Cooperative Federal --a community development credit union serving those that live, work, study, or worship in Syracuse, NY.

Past Professional: Research Support Specialist, administrative support, and web manager for the Forest Ecology Laboratory and the Multiple Element Limitation in Northern Hardwood Ecosystems and Quantifying Uncertainty in Ecosystem STudies (QUEST) projects, all supervised by Dr. Ruth Yanai; Columnist, NY Forester; Research Analyst and Senior Research Aide, Forest Ecology Lab; Research Assistant, SUNY-ESF, assorted projects;  Visiting Instructor, Forest Ecology and Silviculture; Forest Development Project Forester, Tenneco Packaging, Counce, TN and Jasper, FL--greenhouse and seed orchard management, and tree improvement testing program; Teaching Assistant, Silviculture, Forest Ecology, Soils, Field Dendrology, Intro measurements, Intro surveying; Assistant Director, Summer Program in Field Forestry, Wanakena, NY (summers) and Instructional Equipment, Faculty of Forestry, SUNY-ESF (academic year);  Library Assistant, F. Franklin Moon Library; grunt labor, primarily gabion construction, Tioga County Soil and Water Conservation District. I've also been a certified pesticide applicator in TN, FL and NY--but no longer have a need to apply restricted pesticides, so have opted not to renew.

Past Civic:   Girls Summit 2015, planning committee and staff; Secretary, Women of the University Community -- a network of ESF, SU, and UMU graduate students, faculty, staff members, trustees and retirees to help acclimate newcomers to university life and raise funds for scholarships;  Website manager, SUNY ESF-SAF Student Chapter; Editor, The Knothole, Syracuse, NY (then a weekly newspaper).
